Day 1
Goals: Learn the letter C. Be able to recognize it on the paper. Be able to say at least one thing that starts with the letter C.Craft: Fingerprint Caterpillar
Supplies: Card stock, Crayola Kid Paints, paint brush, markers
Directions: Have your child pick the colors they want for their caterpillar. Let you child tell you the color and then you find it and say, "this one?" It will help your child learn their colors. Paint a little of each color on your child's index finger, wiping off between colors, and place 6 fingerprints to make the body of the catepillar, 1 for the sun, and a few for flowers at the bottom of the page. Then, with the paint brush, let your child (or help your child) paint the sky blue and the grass green. Once everything is dry add the stems for the flowers, the swirl for the sun, and the legs/antenna for the caterpillar.
Song: C says "kuh". This is to the same tune you sang the "A" song.
Day 2
Goals: Recall the sound "C" makes. Find "C" on papers.
Color Sheets: Cookie Monster "C", Cc is for Cherries, Cc is for Crab, Cc is for Clifford

Tracing practice may seem silly, but it helps develop the fine motor skills needed for writing.

Day 3 (Just doing school 2 days a week? Add this to day 2)
Goal: Learn the color black, Reinforce the Letter CActivity Sheet - Color the objects black and then find the one that starts with the letter C.
Scissor Skills: Flowers
This also helps with fine motor skills. Plus your child needs to learn how to use scissors the correct way before going to school.
